ÅK offers following courses and training classes for annual members:
- Kick-start your climbing (KDK) – for new members admitted through ordinary admission. The class focuses on basic climbing techniques learned through bouldering (that means you don't need a harness) and creation of a social network in the club. - KALK - for climbers of all levels. The class focuses on different climbing techniques, and is an open class held every Tuesday at 18.00-19.00. No registration is necessary and you choose yourself whether you want to join every week or just once in a while. The trainers for the class choose a new technique to go through each week. - Junior – regular climbing training for children between 10 and 17. There is a waiting list for the class. For further information and registration please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
- Junior elite – a team of elite youth climbers with focus on competitions. Climbers for this class are chosen from the regular junior team based on the elite trainers judgement of their skill and talent.
Membership does not guarantee admission to the above classes. You have to contact the responsible leader for information on admission procedure and requirements.
Belaying courses (for climbing with a rope):
Level 1 (in Danish: “sikringskursus 1”) - top-roping, only for members admitted through ordinary admission. Pres the button named "tilmeld" in the box below to sign up for the next course. If no button is available the course has not yet been set up, please check again at a later date.
Level 2 (in Danish: “sikringskursus 2”) – lead climbing - can only be obtained after completing belay course 1. To get a level 2 belay course you have to have a belay partner and then contact the instructors.
Level 3 (in Danish: “sikringskursus 3”) - abseiling (rappelling) - can only be obtained after completing belay course 2. To get a level 3 belay course you have to have a belay partner and then contact the instructors.
